Box Score (ROLLA, Mo., Feb. 5)- The McKendree University women's basketball team lost a Great Lakes Valley Conference contest at Missouri S&T on Thursday night 84-44.

The Bearcats fall to 2-18 overall and 1-11 in the GLVC, and will travel to Springfield, Mo., on Saturday, Feb. 7 to face No. 21 Drury University at 1 p.m.

Senior guard Caty Ponce (Edwardsville, Ill./Edwardsville) led McKendree with 11 points in the loss.

The Bearcats played even with the Lady Miners for the majority of the first half, but the hosts outscored McKendree 20-4 over the final 6:46 of the first half to jump out to a 42-22 lead at the break. The Bearcats were unable to find its range from beyond the arc in the second half to cut into the deficit, while Missouri S&T made eight of its 11 three-point attempts in the second half to earn the win.
