Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 (LEBANON, Ill., March 21)- The McKendree University softball team lost both games of a Great Lakes Valley Conference doubleheader on Saturday to Truman State University.

The Bearcats fall to 7-13 overall and 1-5 in the GLVC and will host Quincy University on Sunday, March 22 for a doubleheader at Noon.

McKendree was unable to get its offense rolling game one, only picking up two hits in a 10-0 loss in five innings. Kate Mayes (Collinsville, Ill./Collinsville) and Erica Johnson (New Baden, Ill./Wesclin) each had a hit for the Bearcats and Susan Goetze (Green Valley, Ill./Midwest Central) fell to 1-4 overall and had two strikeouts in the loss.

In game two, McKendree spread out nine hits, but couldn't bring in runners across the plate in an 8-1 loss. The Bearcats scored their lone run in the game in the fifth inning on a single by Mayes that scored Jamie Doggendorf (Dittmer, Mo./Northwest) from second to cut the deficit to 7-1, but only had two hits in the final two innings of the loss. Doggendorf and Johnson had two hits in the contest, while Mayes had one hit and an RBI. Brooke Gajewski (Kronenwetter, Wis./D.C. Everest)fell to 1-3 overall and had three strikeouts in the loss.
