(LEBANON, Ill., Jan. 13)- The McKendree University women's basketball team will play its first two home games of the new year and welcome alumni back to campus this weekend.

The Bearcats host William Jewell College on Thursday, Jan. 14 at 5:30 p.m., before playing host to Rockhurst University on Saturday, Jan. 16 at 1 p.m.

SCOUTING THE CARDINALS: William Jewell College enters the week with an overall record of 6-9 with a 1-3 mark in the GLVC. The Cardinals split a pair of games last weekend, falling 78-75 at Bellarmine University on Thursday, before earning a 68-65 win at University of Southern Indiana on Saturday. Junior guard Maddie Nelson leads William Jewell with 10.7 points and 7.5 rebounds/game.

SCOUTING THE HAWKS: Rockhurst University enters the week with an overall record of 8-4 with a 1-3 record in the GLVC. The Hawks lost both of its games last weekend, 68-54 at Southern Indiana, and 85-77 at Bellarmine, but rebounded with a 94-46 non-conference win over Central Christian (Kan.) on Monday. Junior guard Mary Dineen leads Rockhurst with 17.8 points and 3.5 rebounds/game.

ALUMNI RECOGNITION SATURDAY: On Saturday, we will welcome women's basketball alumni back to campus. We will introduce all women's basketball alumni in attendance at halftime of the women's game.
