Kelsee Ennis (Bloomington, Ind./Bloomington South) and junior guard
Charley Lett (Pana, Ill./Pana) both scored career-highs on Saturday in a 74-54 loss to Rockhurst University.
The Bearcats fall to 7-10 overall and 2-5 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and will travel to Rensselaer, Ind., on Jan. 21 to play Saint Joseph's College (Ind.) at 5:30 p.m.
Ennis was McKendree's leading scorer and matched her career-high with 14 points, while Lett scored a career-high eight points in the loss.
The Bearcats took their first lead of the game, 4-2, early following two free throws by junior forward
Ellie Pusheck (South Milwaukee, Wis./South Milwaukee), but Rockhurst battled back to take a 7-6 lead with 2:16 left in the quarter. McKendree finished out the period with four-straight points to lead 10-7. The game stayed close for the first five minutes of the second quarter, but the Hawks found their shooting touch and took a 22-19 lead with 5:20 left in the quarter. Rockhurst slowly extended their lead out to double-digits and led 36-24 at the half. McKendree was unable to cut into the deficit in the second half to fall 74-54.
Mary Dineen led all players with 20 points for Rockhurst.
