Men's Tennis Concludes the Fall Season with a 5-4 Win
(BELLEVILLE, Ill., Oct 17) – The McKendree University men's tennis team defeated Lindenwood University – Belleville 5-4, on Saturday, October 15 at the Lindenwood University – Belleville tennis courts.
 
Freshman Johnny Hu (Antwerpen, Mol/Campus Het Spoor) and sophomore Ross Price (Scotland, U.K./Millfield School) went undefeated on the day. Hu won his singles matches against Horacio Callirgos 6-4, 6-4 playing at the number one position. Hu also won his doubles match alongside freshman teammate Nicholas De Guzman (Courtice, ON/Holy Trinity) at the number two position, defeating Callirgos and Roman 8-5. Price defeated Rory Cunliffe by scores of 6-3, 6-2, playing at the number two position. Price was paired with sophomore Ethan McCafferty (Auckland, New Zealand/Westlake Boys High School) for doubles play defeating Gonzalez and Serano 8-1. At the doubles number one position, junior Ben Muller (Whangarei, Northland, New Zealand/Whangarei) and senior Abel Moreno (Madrid, Spain/Ortega y Gasset) beat the duo of Cunliffe and De Raemy by a score of 8-3.
