(Lebanon, Ill., Dec. 16) – The McKendree University women's basketball will wrap up the first semester by hosting a pair of non-conference games starting Saturday afternoon against Robert Morris University-Peoria at 1 p.m. inside the Harry M. Statham Sports Center before closing action Monday at 6 p.m. against Kentucky State University.
The Bearcats enter the weekend winners of two straight sitting at 6-3 overall and are 0-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
McKendree is led by senior forward
Emily Pusheck (South Milwaukee, Wis./South Milwaukee) who has averages 8.9 points per game on .587 shooting along with 5.2 rebounds. Fellow senior forward

Jordan Heberg (Romeoville, IL/Plainfield North) rounds out the top three scorers on the team with a 6.4 scoring average and leads the Bearcats from beyond the arc shooting .320. Senior guard Shannon McGinnins has been a stat sheet stuffer with an average of 6.3 points per game while leading the Bearcats in rebounding, hauling in 6.8 per game to go with 2.55 assists per game. The Eagles enter the weekend at 1-5 overall and are led by Kayanna Greer and Karlisa Harris who each average double figures in scoring at 11.6 and 11.4 points per game respectively. Greer adds 7.0 rebounds and 1.4 steals, while Harris has hauled in 4.2 boards to go with 2.8 assists and 2.6 steals per game this season. The Bearcats have yet to face a common opponent with Robert Morris-Peoria and Saturday will mark the first meeting between the two programs since McKendree transitioned to the Division II level.
ABOUT KENTUCKY STATE UNIVERISTY
The Thorobreds currently sit at 3-6 and ride a five game slide heading into Mondays matchup. Junior guard Brittani Rizzi paces Kentucky State averaging 14.4 points to go with 2.3 assists and 1.2 steals. Sophomore center Brooke Wallace and senior forward Aliyah Gipson round out the top scores for the Thorobreds with 9.9 and 9.7 scoring averages. Kentucky State shares an identical 0-2 record against common opponents with the Bearcats this season and the game will be the first meeting between the two programs.
