Box Score 2 (MONTEVALLO, Ala., Feb. 13)- The McKendree University softball team split a pair of games on Saturday on the second day of the Falcon Frenzy Tournament hosted by University of Monetvallo.
The Bearcats improve to 2-7 overall and will play University of Montevallo in a single game on Sunday at 9 a.m.

Trevecca Nazarene- 5
McKendree and Trevecca Nazarene were tied 3-3 after five innings, but the Trojans scored two late runs and the Bearcats were unable to rally to fall 5-4.
Trailing 1-0 after two innings, McKendree tied the game in the third inning on a wild pitch with the bases loaded that scored
Sara Radae (Edwardsville, Ill./Edwardsville High School) from third. The Bearcats took a 2-1 lead in the fifth inning on a groundout that scored that
Kyla Haukap (Dawson, Ill./Buffalo Tri-City) from third.
Erica Schuelke (Germantown, Wis./West Bend) followed with a double that brought in
Danielle Sweeney (St. Louis, Mo./Lindbergh High School) from third to take a 3-1 lead. Trevecca Nazarene tied the game in the bottom of the inning, and took a 5-3 lead with two more runs in the sixth inning.
Sydne Bryant (Danville, Ill./Schlarman Academy) scored in the seventh inning on a groundout, but it wasn't enough to fall 5-4.
Holly Magre (Festus, Mo./St. Pius X) fell to 1-2 overall and had six strikeouts in the loss, while
Brooke Gajewski (Kronenwetter, Wis./D.C. Everest) and
Sara Radae (Edwardsville, Ill./Edwardsville High School) led McKendree at the plate with three and two hits, respectively.

The game was scoreless for two innings, but the Bearcats scored eight runs over the final three innings to end the game in five innings with an 8-0 win.
Tylin Stephens (Blue Springs, Mo./Blue Springs High School) scored on a passed ball in the third inning to put McKendree in front 1-0, and
Hanna Branch (Kirkwood, Mo./Kirkwood) followed with a two-run home run to take a 3-0 lead. McKendree added to its lead in the fourth inning on an error by the pitcher that allowed Sweeney to score from third to take a 4-0 lead, and a single by
Abbi Liske (Ashley, Ill./Nashville High School) scored
Rebecca Franke (Trenton, Ill./Wesclin) and Schuelke to extend the lead out to 6-0.
Rachel Hastings (Forsyth, Ill./Maroa-Forsyth High School) doubled in the fifth inning to score Branch, and
Samantha Cameron (Dix, Ill./Centralia, Ill.) singled to score Gajewski to increase the lead to 8-0 and end the game.
Maci Ingram (Woodlawn, Ill./Nashville Community High School) struck out six and only allowed two hits to improve to 1-2 and earn her first collegiate win. Branch had two hits, including her home run, with two RBI and two runs scored.
