The Bearcats are now 7-13 overall and 1-1 in the GLVC, and will travel to Kirksville, Mo., on Sunday to play Truman State University in a doubleheader at 12 p.m.
McKendree was unable to get its offense going in game one, scoring one run on three hits, to fall 5-1. The Bearcats trailed 4-0 in the top of the fifth when

Maci Ingram (Woodlawn, Ill./Nashville Community High School) fell to 2-5 and had four strikeouts in the loss, while
Jamie Doggendorf (Dittmer, Mo./Northwest) had two hits to go along with Schuelke's solo homer.

Hanna Branch (Kirkwood, Mo./Kirkwood) followed with a two run homer to give the Bearcats a quick 3-0 lead.
