(Quincy, Ill., October 1) – The McKendree University women's soccer team moved to 7-1-1 overall and 5-1-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) as they dropped a 1-0 contest to No. 18 Quincy University this afternoon.

In the contest McKendree took eight shots putting three on frame.

In the fourth minute of play Mackenzkie Rief found the back of the net to give the Hawks an early 1-0 led.

Zoe Brochu (Ajax, Ontario, Canada/Pickering) played all 90 minutes in net collecting five saves.

The women's soccer team is back in action on Tuesday, October 3 at 6 p.m. when the team visits Lindenwood University-Belleville.
