(LEBANON, Ill., Nov. 3) – The McKendree University men's and women's swimming & diving teams dive into action at the University of Indianapolis for the UIndy Quad Meet. The teams begin competition on Friday at the Ruth Lilly Center at 4 p.m EST., followed up by the finals at 10 a.m. EST on Saturday.
The UIndy Quad Meet features four Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) teams including McKendree. The field of competition at the meet will include the University of Indianapolis, Lewis University, and Bellarmine University. The McKendree men's team received votes to be in the top 25 in the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Division II Top 25 Pre-Season Poll. The UIndy men's and women's teams were ranked at No. 13 and No. 16, respectively, in the poll. Make sure to tune into the

The Bearcats teams are coming off impressive showings in their first home meets. The men's team defeated Saint Louis University to earn its first victory over an NCAA Division I opponent. The women's team earned its first victory in program history against Maryville University. On the weekend, the men also defeated GLVC opponents Maryville University and Truman State University.
"The second season for McKendree Swimming and Diving has been tremendously promising so far. Most of the returnees are performing at a higher level than last year. We are also very pleased with the progress of our 2 divers, Thad Zuber and Caitlin Canadi. Any program would be thrilled to have these 2 diving for them," said head coach
Jimmy Tierney. "We are looking forward to the tough competition this weekend, particularly against national power house U of Indy. There will be some great individual and relay attles that we'll look forward to this weekend."
The McKendree men's and women's teams currently have several swimmers with top 25 times in NCAA Division II.
