(LEBANON, Ill., Nov. 18) – The McKendree University women's hockey team is set for a home series against No. 9 Grand Valley State University. The teams will face off at 2 p.m. on Saturday, and again at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday with both games played at the McKendree Metro Rec Plex.
 
The Bearcats placed second at the Robert Morris University Showcase last weekend, defeating No. 14 Robert Morris and falling to No. 5 UMass and No. 8 Minnesota. McKendree outshot all three teams on the weekend, but fell in two close matchups against highly ranked teams. The Bearcats are 6-4 overall on the season, and 4-4 in American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Women's D1 play. In the most recent rankings McKendree made the jump from No. 12 up to No. 10.  

 Sophomore forward Domenika Reusche leads the Bearcats in scoring this season, with five goals and two assists for seven points. Sophomore forward Alyssa Albee and freshman forward Dakota Peterson slot behind Reusche with five points each. Sophomore goaltender Jazmin Malinowski has started between the pipes in six games posting a 3-3 record with two shutouts, a 1.17 goals-against average and a save percentage of 0.957.
