(LEBANON, Ill., Nov. 27)--
A well-rested McKendree University women's basketball team heads back into action Tuesday night when the Bearcats make the short trip to St. Charles, Mo., to face Lindenwood University. Tip-off for the non-conference match-up is set for 5 p.m.

McKendree has not played since dropping a pair of games at the QU Tip-Off Classic Nov. 17-18 in Quincy, Ill. In their final game at the Classic, the Bearcats were defeated by Winona State University, 72-54. Madison Hart was the lone McKendree player to reach double figures in the scoring column with 11 points, while Jordan Heberg and Jordan Morton each chipped in with nine points. The Bearcats are 1-2 on the season. McKendree was slated to face the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez on Friday, Nov. 24 at home, but the game was cancelled due to the effects of Hurricane Maria.

Through the first three regular-season games, Heberg leads McKendree in scoring at 13 points per outing. Callie Pohlman is next at 8.3 points per contest, followed by Hart at eight points a game. Shauniera Wilson (Springfield, Ill./Southeast) is the Bearcats' leading rebounder at 5.3 per contest. As a team, McKendree is outrebounding its opponents by nearly eight per game.

Tuesday's contest against Lindenwood will mark the Bearcats' final game before opening Great Lakes Valley Conference play on Saturday at Drury University. The Bearcats' home GLVC opener will come a week from Thursday -- Dec. 7 -- when Truman State University visits the Harry M. Statham Sports Center for a 5:30 p.m. game. Following those two games, McKendree will still have non-conference contests remaining against Kentucky State University (home on Dec. 11), Northwest Missouri State University (home on Dec. 18) and Davenport University (away on Dec. 30).

ABOUT LINDENWOOD
The Lions are undefeated through their first four games of the 2017-18 campaign. Lindenwood is hosting St. Louis College of Pharmacy Monday evening prior to their meeting with McKendree. Like the Bearcats, the Lions have not seen any game action since Nov. 18, when they defeated the University of Illinois Springfield 77-64. Callie Bildner is the leading scorer this season for Lindenwood at 21.3 points per outing, while Gabby Walker is netting 17 point a game. Bildner is also the Lions' leading rebounder at 14.8 per effort. Lindsay Medlin has dished out 22 assists over the first four games of the season for Lindenwood.

McKendree and Lindenwood last met on the basketball court on Nov. 19, 2016 at the Statham Center. A balanced scoring attack helped the Bearcats post a 66-57 win over the Lions.
