(LEBANON, Ill., Dec. 11)--
The McKendree University women's basketball team continues its three-game home stand heading into the holiday break on Monday with a non-conference tilt against Kentucky State University. The Bearcats and Thorobrettes will face off at 6 p.m. inside the Harry M. Statham Sports Center. The game will also be carried live on the Bearcat Sports Network at www.glvcsn.com/mckendree

McKendree comes into Monday's game following a 76-62 loss Thursday at home in Great Lakes Valley Conference play against Truman State University. Callie Pohlman, Madison Hart and Shauniera Wilson (Springfield, Ill./Southeast) each scored 10 points to lead the balanced attack for McKendree. Jordan Morton narrowly missed a double-double against Truman State with eight points and a team-leading nine rebounds, while Pohlman dished out five assists in the effort. The Bearcats trimmed a 22-point deficit down to just nine points in the closing minutes of Thursday's contest before the Bulldogs held on for the win.

Monday's match-up against Kentucky State will be the lone game of finals week for the Bearcats. McKendree will close out the first half of its 2017-18 season next Monday -- Dec. 18 -- with another non-conference home game versus Northwest Missouri State University.
