(LEBANON, Ill., Feb. 15) — The McKendree University women's basketball team enters its final weekend of the conference season with a pair of Great Lakes Valley Conference contests starting with No. 23 Bellarmine University Thursday in Louisville, KY before closing out against No. 24 Southern Indiana Saturday at 1 p.m.
The Bearcats hold a record of 10-15 overall and are 1-14 in the GLVC this season.

Ellie Pusheck (South Milwaukee, Wis./South Milwaukee) leads the charge for McKendree averaging 7.7 points per game on .510 shooting to go with 3.2 rebounds per game. Freshman guard
Jordan Heberg (Romeoville, IL/Plainfield North) is second on the team at 7.3 points per game and leads the Bearcats from beyond the arc, shooting .319. Senior guard
Shannon McGinnis (Niles, Ill./Trinity) is third in scoring at 7.2 points per game to go with a team high 6.5 rebounds and is tied for a team high 1.32 steals per game. Senior forward
Emily Pusheck (South Milwaukee, Wis./South Milwaukee) rounds out the top scorers at 7.1 points per game, along with 5.2 boards and a team high 12 blocks.
The Knights enter the week with a record of 19-5 overall and an 11-4 showing in league play. Senior forward Sarah Galvin who averaged 16.1 points and 7.8 rebounds per game paces Bellarmine. Junior guard Raven Merriweather and senior guard Destony Curry also average double figures in points at 12.8 and 10.3 respectively. Senior guard Whitney Hartlage averages a team high 3.3 assists per contest, while sophomore center Ally Mayhaus has stuffed a team high 19 blocks. The Knights topped Bearcats in their previous meeting this season by a score of 50-37.
The Screaming Eagles boast a record of 21-4 and are 13-2 in the GLVC this season, sitting one win shy of securing a first round bye in the GLVC Tournament. Junior forward Kaydie Grooms has averaged a team high 15.4 points per game this season to pair with 3.9 rebounds. Southern Indiana has four players who average double figures in scoring. Senior forward Hannah Wascher averages 12.9 points, adding team highs in rebounds with 8.2 and blocks with 28 total. The Screaming Eagles defeated McKendree 66-44 in the teams' first meeting this season.
