(LEBANON, Ill., Mar. 6) – The McKendree University men's tennis team defeated Hillsdale College 5-4 on Friday, and fell to the No. 43 ranked University of Missouri – St. Louis 6-3 on Saturday.
 
The Bearcats move to 7-5 on the season, and 5-1 at home. McKendree will hit the road for two matches this weekend, as the Bearcats take on Emporia State University at 1 p.m. on Saturday and Rockhurst University at 10 a.m. on Sunday morning.
 
Senior Abel Moreno (Madrid, Spain/Ortega y Gasset) was victorious in all four of his matches on the weekend. Moreno played at the No. 4 position in singles, defeating Dugan Delp of Hillsdale College by scores of 6-2 and 6-3, as well as Alberto Maza of Missouri – St. Louis by scores of 7-6 and 6-2. Moreno played at the No. 1 position in doubles alongside teammate Ben Muller (Whangarei, Northland, New Zealand/Whangarei). The duo defeated Justin Hyman and Dugan Delp of Hillsdale by a score of 8-5, and also Kristoffer Lindal and Rob White of Missouri – St. Louis by a score of 8-6.
