(Lebanon, Ill., September 15) – The McKendree University women's soccer team improved to 4-0 on the 2017 campaign as it upset the No. 8 ranked Bellarmine University Knights in a 1-0 contest this evening.

In a match that looked to be destined for tie, the Bearcats dug deep to pull out a victory in the final minute of play.

With 48 seconds left in the second overtime Madyson Mossman (St. Louis, MO/Ursuline Academy) put together a late rush as she struck the golden goal game-winner.

In the contest the Bearcats outshot the Knights 11-8 putting eight shots on frame.

In net for the Bearcats was Zoe Brochu (Ajax, Ontario, Canada/Pickering) who picks up her second shutout of the 2017 campaign.

The Bearcats are back in action on Sunday as the team travels to the University of Indianapolis for a Noon ET contest.
