(GRANDVILLE, Mich., Sept. 18) – The McKendree University men's tennis team competed at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regionals hosted by Grand Valley State University over the weekend.
 
Senior Ben Muller (Whangarei, Northland, New Zealand/Whangarei) was the only Bearcat to take a victory in the first round, but fell in the second round of play. Senior Maico Egbers (Breda, Netherlands/Graaf Engelbrecht School) was defeated in his first round, but was able to rebound and win his next two matches to go to the A consolation bracket quarterfinals. The duo of Muller and Egbers made it to the quarterfinals of the doubles competition A bracket.
