(LEBANON, Ill., Jan. 27) – The McKendree University women's hockey team fell to No. 2 Adrian College by a final score of 7-1 on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Bearcats fall to 9-8-1 after suffering two losses to Adrian College. The Bearcats opened the scoring in the contest just over halfway into the first period when sophomore forward Delayne Ivanowski sent a pass to freshman forward Dakota Peterson, who found the back of the net. McKendree held a 1-0 lead after the first period.
 
The Bulldogs were able to sneak two past sophomore goaltender Jazmin Malinowski in the second period to gain the 2-1 lead after 40 minutes of play. Adrian came out flying in the final frame, scoring five goals while holding McKendree off of the scoreboard to take a 7-1 victory over the Bearcats. Malinowski turned aside 52 of 59 shots on goal in the game.
