(NASHVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 18) – The McKendree University women's soccer team remained undefeated and improved to 5-0 overall after defeating Trevecca Nazarene University Tuesday afternoon, 1-0.
 
The McKendree offense once again outshot its opponents, this time taking 12 shots compared to the Trojans, who took four. Trevecca Nazarene goalkeeper Delayna Holman made a total of four saves, but in the 70^th minute of play, senior midfielder Rachel Ford (Trenton, IL/Wesclin) notched the game-winner for the Bearcats off an assist from freshman midfielder Riley Ross (Springfield, IL/Rochester High School). On the defensive end, goalkeeper Zoe Brochu (Ajax, Ontario, Canada/Pickering) produced a shutout once more for McKendree while collecting two saves in her efforts.
 
The women's soccer team will be back in action Friday, September 21 at 5:00 p.m. when they face Great Lakes Valley Conference foe Bellarmine University, which is currently 3-2-1 overall and 1-0-1 in conference play this season.
