(INDIANAPOLIS, IN, Sep 23) – The McKendree University women's soccer team notched their first tie of the season after dueling fellow Great Lakes Valley Conference member University of Indianapolis to a final score of 0-0 this Sunday afternoon.
 
Both defenses came to play in a back and forth match that only saw a grand total of 13 shots taken collectively through 110 minutes of play, five of which rang true enough to threaten a scoring opportunity. In fact, the first shot of the match was not taken until just after the 10th minute of action. Despite the sparse scoring opportunities, junior goalkeeper Zoe Brochu (Ajax, Ontario, Canada/Pickering) remained alert and added another shutout to her resume while collecting two saves.
 
The Bearcats now sit at 5-1-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the GLVC, and will be back in action Friday, September 28 at 5:00 p.m. when they continue GLVC play in Springfield, MO against the Panthers of Drury University.
