(LEBANON, Ill., Jan. 16)--
The McKendree University women's basketball team will finish out its longest home stand of the 2018-19 season with two more Great Lakes Valley Conference contests this week at the Statham Center. The Bearcats will first host Drury University, the No. 2-ranked team in the latest Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division II poll on Thursday evening before wrapping up the week Saturday afternoon against Missouri S&T. Both games will be carried live on the Bearcat Sports Network at www.glvcsn.com/mckendree, beginning with a 10-minute pregame show each day.

McKendree will be looking to get back on track after being handed a pair of conference games last week. The Bearcats fell at home to Maryville University last Thursday before dropping a snow-delayed decision to the University of Missouri-St. Louis on Sunday. McKendree enters Thursday's play with an overall record of 8-6 and a 2-3 mark against GLVC foes.

Sydney Diekhoff (Pekin, IL/Pekin Community) has moved into third in the GLVC in scoring at 16.4 PPG. Diekhoff is the only McKendree player to score in double figures in each of the Bearcats' first 14 games this season. She is also fourth in the conference in free throw percentage, hitting 87.5 percent of her tries from the stripe. Jordan Heberg (Romeoville, IL/Plainfield North) is second on the squad in scoring at 10.7 PPG, while Megan Jensen (Union, MO/Saint Francis Borgia Regional) has reached double figures in the scoring column this season at 10.4 PPG. Jensen is currently second in the league in field goal percentage, connecting at a 62.6 percent clip.

Jordan Morton (Olathe, Kan./Olathe South) moved into the Bearcats' career top 10 in rebounding, and enters Thursday's game against Drury with 593 career rebounds. Callie Pohlman (Appleton, WI/Appleton North) is one of 11 players in the GLVC with at least 50 assists, and her 53 assists are good for seventh in the league.

Following this weekend's action, McKendree will hit the road for a pair of GLVC contests next week. The Bearcats will be at Quincy University next Thursday -- Jan. 24 -- before heading to Truman State University two days later. McKendree's next home game will come on Thursday, Jan. 31 against the University of Indianapolis.
