(LEBANON, Ill., JAN. 29) – The McKendree University men's wrestling program defeated the Lions of Lindenwood University 41-39 after a dramatic tie-breaker Tuesday night, improving their overall record to 12-4.
 
Bearcat wrestler Nick Foster (Belleville, IL/Belleville West) was able to turn around an early Lindenwood lead after pinning Jorge Guerrero in just over one minute of competition, and combining with wins from Ryan Vasbinder (Grand Rapids, MI/Grandville) and Luke Diener (Saint Peters, Mo./Francis Howell Central), McKendree was able to tie Lindenwood, 19-19. After a calculation and tally of all overall points, McKendree was named victorious over the Lions, 41-39.
