(LEBANON, Ill., Oct. 17) – The McKendree University women's hockey team will head to Springfield, Mo. for the Arizona State Showcase. The second annual showcase will be held at Mediacom Ice Park. The Bearcats will matchup with the University of Utah on Friday, Arizona State University on Saturday, and the University of Colorado on Sunday.
 
Game times are scheduled for 5:30pm on Friday, 3:00pm on Saturday, and 9:00am on Sunday.
 
The Bearcats dominated the last season's Arizona State Showcase, outscoring the opponent 23-0 in the three games. Senior goalie Jazmin Malinowski (New Lenox, IL/Lincoln-Way) shutout each of the three teams McKendree faced.
 
Through six games, senior Alyssa Albee (Brookfield, WI/Brookfield Central) leads the way offensively with five goals and six points. Next is senior Lara Wentz (Bismark, ND/) with three goals, two assists, and five points.
 
Sophomore goalie Naomi Leasck (St. Louis, MO/Lindbergh High School) is 1-4 overall, with a .924 save percentage, 2.60 goals against average and one shutout.
 
About Utah
The Utes will be opening up their season with McKendree for their first game as a program.
 
About Arizona State
The Sun Devils come in at 6-0 on the year. The Bearcats defeated Arizona State 5-0 during last year's matchup. They are led by Danielle Dupont with seven goals, three assists, and team-leading 10 points. Andi Main is the key facilitator of the offense with six assists.

In net, Jordan Nash Boulden is the primary goalie with a 4-0 record, .972 save percentage, and a 1.25 goals against average.
 
About Colorado
The Buffaloes enter the weekend with a 2-2 record. They defeated the Bearcats 3-1 in an early season matchup last year. Three players are tied for the team lead in points with four. Mariah Dally posts the team-high in goals with three. Maura Kieft leads the offense with three assists.
