(LEBANON, Ill., Nov. 22) – The McKendree University women's hockey team is back on the road to close out the first semester against Midland University. The Saturday/Sunday series is scheduled for 8:00pm on Saturday and 1:00pm on Sunday.
The Bearcats enter the weekend at 8-5 overall on the season. McKendree is coming off a 2-1 weekend that saw two 5-1 victories over visiting Grand Valley State University.
Senior
Lara Wentz (Bismark, ND/), freshman
Camryn Scully (Prince George, BC, Canada/Prince George Secondary School), and senior
Alyssa Albee (Brookfield, WI/Brookfield Central) lead the Bearcats on the offensive end. Wentz leads the offense with nine goals, six assists, and 15 points. Scully follows closely with eight goals, six assists and 14 points and Albee posts seven goals and assists.
In net, sophomore
Naomi Leasck (St. Louis, MO/Lindbergh High School) sports a 4-5 record, 2.40 goals against average, and .912 save percentage with one shutout. Freshman
Brittnee Kenny (Richmond, Ontario, Canada/South Carleton High School) has a 4-0 record, .82 goals against average, and .923 save percentage.
McKendree swept Midland last season with 4-3 and 5-0 victories.
About Midland
The Warriors post an 8-7 record on the season. Allison Conybear leads Midland with five goals and team-high 18 assists, 23 points. Tieryn Arens has the team-high in goals with eight and five Warriors post seven goals apiece.
In goal, McKenna Gehner is the primary netminder with a 6-5 record, 2.17 goals against average, and .911 save percentage with six shutouts. Andrea Schreiber has a 2-2 record, 5.09 goals against average, and .828 save percentage.
