(FREMONT, Neb., Nov. 24) – The McKendree University women's hockey team earned a split on the road against Midland University following a 3-1 victory on Sunday afternoon. McKendree scored three unanswered goals in 56 seconds in the second period to cruise to victory.
The Bearcats advance to 9-6 overall on the season. McKendree will be back on the ice in 2020 as they host Massachusetts and Midland on Jan. 17-18
With a scoreless opening period, the Bearcats broke through with five minutes remaining in the second period. Senior
Domenika Reusche (San Jose, CA/Archbishop Mitty) started the scoring stretch with assists from freshman
Quinn Atchison (Victoria, BC, Canada/Belmont Seconday School) and senior
Delayne Ivanowski (Kirkwood, MO/Kirkwood). 19 seconds later, sophomore
Jackie Leone (Lake Country, BC, Canada/Kelowna Secondary School) scored another goal to extend the lead with help from senior
Chase Hallemann (Ballwin, MO/Marquette) and junior
Paris Suzuki (Covina, CA/Covina High School). Senior
Alyssa Albee (Brookfield, WI/Brookfield Central) came right back 37 seconds later with a pass from junior
Callie Hoadley (Hanover, MA/Hanover High School) to push the lead to 3-0.
Midland scored a goal late in the third period to break the shutout as the Bearcats earned a split against the Warriors with a 3-1 victory.

Brittnee Kenny (Richmond, Ontario, Canada/South Carleton High School) made 28/29 saves in the win.
