Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 (DAHLONEGA, Ga., Feb. 16) – The McKendree University softball team left with two losses on day two of the Cottrell Foundation Loyal Blue Classic Saturday February 16, first falling to No. 11 Alabama Huntsville 10-5 followed by an 8-0 loss to No. 3 University of North Georgia.
 
In the first game of the day, Alabama Huntsville and McKendree remained tied at four through the first three innings. The Chargers would ultimately retain the lead after a four-run fourth inning. The Bearcats and the Chargers matched runs in the sixth, however Huntsville was able to score once more in the seventh to seal their victory 10-5. Miranda Gajewski (Kronenwetter, WI/D.C. Everest) led the offensive charge for the Bearcats going 2-3 at the plate, sending in two RBIs and scoring one run herself.
 
Against No. 3 Northern Georgia, the Bearcats were unable to get on the board, only recording one hit courtesy of Whitney Boschert (Wentzville, MO/Francis Howell High School) through seven innings.
 
Loyal Blue Classic action will conclude Sunday morning when the Bearcats rematch host University of North Georgia at 9 a.m.
