(LEBANON, Ill., Feb. 20)--The McKendree University women's basketball team will kick off its final home stand of the 2018-19 regular season on Saturday when the University of Illinois Springfield travels to Lebanon. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. inside the Statham Center. Saturday's game will also be carried live on the Bearcat Sports Network at

McKendree enters the contest with an overall record of 12-12. The Bearcats are 6-9 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play, and currently sits in eighth place in the GLVC's Point Ranking System, which is the method used to determine the eight teams who will qualify for the conference tournament to be held March 7-10 in Edwardsville, Ill.
In its last contest on Saturday, McKendree was defeated at Bellarmine University, 60-53. The host Knights rallied in the final 10 minutes to claim the victory.
Shayli Florine (Galesburg, IL/Galesburg) came off the bench to spark McKendree with 13 points while adding six rebounds.
Sydney Diekhoff (Pekin, IL/Pekin Community) added 12 points and three assists, while
Jordan Morton (Olathe, Kan./Olathe South) contributed eight points and a team-high eight rebounds for the Bearcats.
The Bearcats will be looking for a season split as Saturday's game will mark the second and final meeting between McKendree and Illinois Springfield in 2018-19. Back on Jan. 5 in Springfield, Ill., the Prairie Stars notched an 84-73 win.
Sydney Diekhoff (Pekin, IL/Pekin Community) dropped in a team-leading 24 points in the contest, while
Megan Jensen (Union, MO/Saint Francis Borgia Regional) added 15 points and
Jordan Morton (Olathe, Kan./Olathe South) collected a double-double with 10 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.
ABOUT ILLINOIS SPRINGFIELD
The Prairie Stars bring a 7-16 season record and a 4-11 league mark into Saturday's contest. UIS is winless in its last four outings, including a 74-47 setback last Saturday at the University of Southern Indiana. Katelyn Rosner was the lone Prairie Star to score in double figures with 10 points while adding nine rebounds. Jasmine Sangster -- who had 33 points in the first contest against McKendree -- finished with nine points and three assists at Southern Indiana.
Four different UIS players are averaging in double figures entering the meeting with McKendree. Lauren Ladowski leads the quartet at 12.3 PPG. Sangster is next at 11.8 PPG and his shooting nearly 83 percent from the foul line. Brianna Mefford is the Prairie Stars' leading rebounder at 5 RPG, while Ladowski lead the team with 77 assists and 36 steals.
