(O'FALLON, Ill., Feb. 24) – The McKendree University women's hockey team closed out the 2018-19 regular season with a 4-1 loss to the Lynx from Lindenwood-Belleville on Sunday afternoon.
 
The Bearcats finish the regular season at 16-10. McKendree will await the final American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) rankings on Tuesday, Feb. 26 to see if they make ACHA Division-I National Tournament.
 
The Lynx scored first with a goal seven minutes into the opening period. Junior Lara Wentz (Bismark, ND/) evened the game as she slid the puck past the Lindenwood-Belleville goaltender. Sophomore Laurynn Davey (Owens Cross Roads, AL/Huntsville High School) was credited with an assist.
 
Lindenwood-Belleville added three more goals across the rest of the contest to take a 4-1 win over McKendree.
