(LEBANON, Ill., Mar. 15) - The McKendree University women's lacrosse team upended the Eagles of Ashland University Friday afternoon 21-1. This was the fourth time in program history the Bearcats only allowed one goal in a contest. 
Five separate Bearcats scored at least a hat trick during the offensive onslaught, with 
Kathryn Albrecht (Louisville, KY/Eastern High School) and 
Jess Morey (Loveland, OH/Loveland) adding three goals apiece and 
Kayla Smith (O'Fallon, IL/O'Fallon Township), 
Hannah Sugarman (Holden, MA/Wachusett Regional), and 
Rylee Skachenko (Oceanside, CA/Carlsbad) adding four goals each. Senior attacker 
Emily Nelson (Deephaven, MN/Holy Family Catholic) led all Bearcats in points with five after notching four assists and adding her own goal as well.
Defensively, McKendree caused 14 turnovers, while goalkeepers 
Collin Patton (Wildwood, MO/Eureka) and 
Clara Andrews (St. Louis, MO/Nerinx Hall High School) combined for six saves in the one goal-allowed effort.
The Bearcats are back in action this Sunday March 17 when they play host to no. 12 and GLIAC opponent University of Indianapolis, starting at 12:00 p.m. on Leemon Field.
