(LEBANON, Ill., May 29) – Sophomore
Emily Westlove (Naperville, IL/Naperville Central High School) was named an Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) Division-II All-American Honorable Mention. The All-American teams were announced Wednesday afternoon.
Westlove collects her second career All-American honor as she was named second team All-American during her freshman campaign.
On the season, the sophomore led the team in goals and assists with 76 goals and 30 assists, racking up 106 points.
"Westlove is our program's first two-time All-American and I am certainly really proud of her for all that she has accomplished in just two short years as a Bearcat," said head coach
Colleen Lischwe. "She is a hard worker, a real scrapper in the water, and our team counts on her a lot to lead in the water. I am sure she will continue to accomplish big things!"
The award marks Westlove's third of the season as she received All-WWPA Honorable Mention All-Conference and second team All-Tournament at the WWPA Championships.
