(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., May 3) - The McKendree University women's lacrosse team was defeated by the 21st ranked Lakers of Grand Valley State University in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) semifinals earlier Friday evening by a score of 21-6. The Lakers will move on to face the University of Indianapolis in the GLIAC tournament championship this Sunday, May 5.

Rylee Skachenko (Oceanside, CA/Carlsbad) recorded a hat trick in the loss while freshman attacker
Kathryn Albrecht (Louisville, KY/Eastern High School) also recorded three points with two goals and one assist. With her two goals Friday night, Albrecht ends the season leading all Bearcats in goals with 47, while senior attacker
Emily Nelson (Deephaven, MN/Holy Family Catholic) finishes her collegiate career leading all Bearcats this season in points with 92. On the defensive end, senior midfielder
Hannah Sugarman (Holden, MA/Wachusett Regional) finishes the 2019 campaign by leading the team in caused turnovers with 54.
McKendree finishes the season with an 11-7 overall mark and a 9-3 GLIAC showing, which is their best season since winning the GLIAC regular season and tournament titles in 2017.
