(LEBANON, Ill., Jan. 10) – The McKendree University swimming and diving program returns from the break to host a local opponent with Washington University in St. Louis making a trip to the McKendree Metro Rec Plex for a meet this Saturday.
 
The diving portion of the meet is set to begin at 9:30am with swimming to follow at noon.
 
The Bearcats return from hiatus after last competing in the Purdue Invite on Nov. 21-23. Freshman Fabio Dalu (Cagliari, Italy/Liceo L.B. Alberti Cagliari) was honored by the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) for his performance during the meet by being named PNC GLVC Athlete of the Week, his second such award this season.
 
Saturday's meet marks the first of three home meets in the month of January for McKendree. The Bearcats have a meet against Lindenwood on Jan. 17 and a meet against Bellarmine/UMSL on Jan. 24-25.
