ROCKHURST SEASON STATISTICS
(LEBANON, Ill., Jan. 15) – The McKendree University men's basketball team is venturing west for its first GLVC road contests of the season against William Jewell and Rockhurst University. The Bearcats will face the Cardinals on Thursday, Jan. 16 at 7:30 p.m. and then the Hawks on Saturday, Jan. 18 at 3 p.m.
The Bearcats will have one day before its next road game on Monday, Jan. 20 against the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, Ill., at 7:30 p.m. In the last matchup between McKendree and USI, the Bearcats came out on top 68-64 defeating the then ninth ranked Screaming Eagles.
McKendree is coming off of a 78-74 win over Indianapolis, which at the time sat at No. 16 in the NCAA DII Coaches Poll, marking the Bearcats third win over a nationally ranked opponent. The other two teams being Southern Indiana and Drury.
Senior guard
Logan Kohrmann (Bartelso, IL/Breese Central) leads the team in scoring with 225 points on the season averaging 17.3 points per game. Kohrmann has also tallie 72 rebounds, 36 assists, and 16 steals on the season for the Bearcats. The other Bearcat averaging double digit points is junior guard
Oliver Stephen (Edwardsville, IL/Edwardsville) with a 13.5 AVG. Stephen has also recorded 34 rebounds, 19 assists, and six steals for McKendree.
Sophomore forward
Aleksa Popovic (Belgrade, Serbia/BC Partizan Belgrade) and freshman forward
Bryson Bultman (Nashville, IL/Nashville) are also impact players for the Bearcats. Popovic is currently averaging 9.6 points per game with 125 total points on the season. Alongside his scoring, Popovic has also collected 48 rebounds, nine assists, nine blocks, and ten steals for the Bearcats. Bultman leads the team in rebounding and assists with 92 total rebounds and 48 assists. He has also tallied six blocks, 17 steals and 112 points for McKendree.
The Bearcats will return home to face Quincy University on Thursday, Jan. 23 for a 7:30 p.m. game.
ABOUT WILLIAM JEWELL:
William Jewell is 6-7 overall on the season and 1-4 in the GLVC after falling to Lewis University 76-51 in its last contest. The Cardinals have one player averaging double digit points on the season, Eysan Wiley with 17.0 AVG. Wiley is also the lead rebounder for William Jewell with 114 total in his 2019-20 campaign.

ABOUT ROCKHURST:
Rockhurst sits 8-5 overall on the season and 4-1 in the GLVC after earning a 68-54 victory over the University of Illinois Springfield last Saturday. The Hawks have four players averaging double figures on the season. Curtis Lewis leads the team with 18.2, Quinton Curry is next with 15.5, Nick Volz follows suit with 13.0, and Chris Hamil rounds it out with a 12.6 points per game average. Curry also sits atop the leaderboard for Rockhurst with 101 total rebounds.
