(LEBANON, Ill., Jan. 23) – The McKendree University swimming and diving program will host their final home meet of the season against Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) members University of Missouri-St. Louis and Bellarmine University. Before Saturday's meet, McKendree will honor its first four-year recruiting class in program history.
 
On Friday, diving will begin at 10:00am and swimming at 1:00pm. On Saturday, swimming will begin at noon after the senior ceremony. The Bearcats will honor seven men: Zach Breeding (Midland, TX/Midland High School), Matthew Meals (McKinney, TX/McKinney Boyd High School), Cole Morgan (George Town, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands/Cayman International School), Gilson Nyirimana (Kigali, Kicukiro, Rwanda/Green Hills Academy), Matija Pucarevic (Belgrade, Serbia/Sixth Belgrade Grammar School), Kyle Shahenian (Surprise, AZ/Dysart High School), and Luca Simonetti (Sassari, Italy/Liceo Scientifico Gulielmo Marconi Sassari) and four women: Magdalena Knapp (Bolzano, Italy/Gymnasium Walther von der Vogelweide Bozen), Sydney Rey (Columbia, IL/Columbia High School), Milica Sostarec (Subotica, Serbia/Medical High School), and Meredith Geyer (Germantown, TN/Germantown High School).
 
The Bearcats recently swept the PNC GLVC Athlete of the Week award as Pucarevic and Geyer were tabbed the weekly honor.
 
McKendree recently swam on Jan. 17 against Lindenwood University, performing extremely well in the relay events as they swept all each of the relays on both sides.
