(LEBANON, Ill – Jan. 28) – The No.2 McKendree university men's wrestling is entering their third Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) competition as they host No.7 Lindenwood University at home on Thursday, Jan. 30.

McKendree is coming off a dominating performance at the Drury University Dual, where they won 37-9. This win put the Bearcats at an overall 6-2 record (2-0 in the GLVC). Key pin wins from Nick Foster (Belleville, IL/Belleville West), Joshua Jones (Chicago Heights, IL/Marian Catholic) and Ryan Vasbinder (Grand Rapids, MI/Grandville), and a major decision win from Charles McNeal (Florissant, MO/Christian Brothers Catholic) all helped to extend the Bearcats' lead over Drury.

Lindenwood now has a 5-3 record (2-0 in the GLVC) coming off a 17-20 loss to No.6 University of Central Oklahoma. They had three wrestlers place at the Maryville Kaufman/ Brand/ Baylay Open, four wrestlers place at the Lindenwood Open, one wrestler place at the Drury Open, and finished 10^th-place overall in the 41^st Annual Midwest Classic.
