(LEBANON, Ill – Dec. 10) – The McKendree University men's basketball team continues their road trip this weekend in Evansville, Ind., for an afternoon matchup on Saturday, Dec. 12. The Bearcats will then head to Clarksville, Tenn., for their second non-conference evening matchup against Austin Peay State University on Monday, Dec. 14.

Chris Foster's team moves to 2-1 (2-0 in GLVC) after their 66-90 loss to non-conference opponent Drake University, Wednesday night. The Bearcats started the game moving the ball around the perimeter, forcing Drake out of system, and draining their three-point shots. But it was turnovers and missed shots in the second half where McKendree saw their deficit grow and were unable to bounce back. Foster's team continued to take shots, move the ball, and pressure the Bulldogs, but could not close the gap.

McKendree has five players averaging in double figures. Bryson Bultman (Nashville, IL/Nashville) is leading the team in average points, with 16 (61.5 shooting percentage), and a perfect 5-for-5 in three-point attempts.

Brendon Gooch (Belleville, IL/Althoff ) is also up there in points, averaging 15 per game with 8.0 rebounds per contest.

25596

Aleksandar Davitkov (Belgrade, Serbia/Partizan) is second in the team with an average 56.0 shooting percentage and third in the ranks for an average 13 point per game.
