(LEBANON, Ill., Feb 1) – The McKendree University men's volleyball team remains undefeated at home after defeating Tusculum University 3-0 Saturday night. The Bearcats are now 6-4 overall on the season.
McKendree took the first set 25-17 over the Pioneers, the second set 25-18, and the third set 25-10 to collect its fourth sweep of the season. As a team, the Bearcats recorded a team hitting percentage of .409 in the match with 25 kills on 44 attempts with just seven errors. The best performance for McKendree came in the third set, earning 11 kills on 15 attempts with just one error for a team hitting percentage of .667.

Zach Schnittker (Arlington Heights, IL/Buffalo Grove) and junior outside hitter
Ethan Carroll (Barrington, IL/Barrington) led the offensive efforts for the Bearcats, each with six kills. Carroll led the team in hitting percentage with his six kills on eight attempts and zero errors for a .750 hitting percentage. Schnittker also led the team in service aces alongside sophomore setter
Ryan Serrano (Anthem, AZ/Boulder Creek), each with three services aces on the night.

Francisco Comas (Naperville, IL/Neuqua Valley High School) led the back line for McKendree. Schnittker recorded six digs while Comas was close behind with five digs. At the net for the Bearcats defense was junior middle blocker
Wyatt Dimke (Ham Lake, MN/Blaine) who recorded two solo blocks and four block assists, averaging two blocks a set.
The Bearcats will begin Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) competition on Friday, Feb. 7 with a match at No. 6 Lewis University in Romeoville, Ill. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
