(LEBANON, Ill., Feb. 12) – The McKendree University men's basketball team is set to take on the nationally ranked Tritons of Missouri-St. Louis on Thursday, Feb. 13 for a 7:30 p.m. game. The Bearcats will then play Lindenwood on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 3:00 p.m. contest at home.
Overall on the season, McKendree is 11-11 and then 6-8 in Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) play. The Bearcats fell in a close one-point contest 62-61 to Maryville last Saturday.
Senior guard
Logan Kohrmann (Bartelso, IL/Breese Central) leads McKendree with 423 points on the season averaging 19.2 points per game. He sits atop the leader board in the GLVC for the highest points per game ratio in league play. Kohrmann has also tallied 124 rebounds, 68 assists, seven blocks, and 25 steals so far this season.
Junior guard
Oliver Stephen (Edwardsville, IL/Edwardsville) is the only other Bearcat averaging double-digit points on the season with 278 total points and 12.6 points per game. He leads the team in three point baskets with 75 made on the season.
Other impact players for the Bearcats are senior forward
Nate Bethel (Nassau, Bahamas/St. Louis Christian Academy), freshman forward
Bryson Bultman (Nashville, IL/Nashville), and sophomore forward
Aleksa Popovic (Belgrade, Serbia/BC Partizan Belgrade). Bethel is averaging 8.9 points per game with 74 total rebounds, 18 assists, and 13 steals. Bultman is averaging 8.7 points per game with 133 total rebounds, 75 assists, and 23 steals. Popovic is averaging 8.3 points per game with 75 total rebounds, 12 blocks, and 18 steals.
McKendree will resume competition with a single road game next Thursday at Lewis University in Romeoville, Ill. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
NO. 20 UMSL:
Missouri-St. Louis is currently ranked 20 in the NCAA NABC Coaches Poll with an 20-4 overall record. UMSL also sits atop the GLVC rankings with an 11-3 conference record. Three Tritons are averaging double-digit points per game on the season. Jose Grubbs leads the way with 14.0, Yaakema Rose Jr. follows with 13.9, Jason Towery rounds out the efforts with 10.1. Wilkins-McCoy and Steve Webb lead the team in rebounds, both with 135 total rebounds.

ABOUT LINDENWOOD:
Lindenwood University is 9-13 overall on the season and 3-11 in GLVC competition after defeating Quincy University 74-64 in its latest contest. The Lions have four players averaging double-digit points on the season. TJ Crockett leads the way with 21.6, Vijay Blackmon is next with 17.2, Luka Radosevic is next with 10.9, and Cameron Scales rounds out the efforts with 10.4 points per game on average. Crockett and Scales also lead the team in rebounds, Crockett with 107 and Scales with 98 rebounds on the season.
