(LEBANON, Ill., Feb. 12) – The McKendree University women's basketball team will host the Tritons of Missouri-St. Louis on Thursday, Feb. 13 for a 5:30 p.m. game and then will face the Lions of Lindenwood on Saturday, Feb. 15 with a 1:00 p.m. home game.
The Bearcats are 11-11 overall on the season and 4-6 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC). In its last contest, McKendree fell to Maryville University on the road in a close matchup, 69-65.
Senior guard
Jordan Heberg (Romeoville, IL/Plainfield North) and sophomore guard
Jenna Krause (Seymour, WI/Seymour) lead the Bearcats in scoring, both are averaging double-digit points on the season. Heberg leads the team with 318 points for an average of 14.5 points per game. Krause is next with 222 points with a 10.1 average point per game ratio
The rebounding leader for McKendree is senior guard
Madison Hart (Oak Creek, WI/Oak Creek) who is the lone Bearcat averaging double-digit rebounds per game. Overall on the season, Hart has recorded 219 total rebounds for 10 rebounds per game average. She currently sits in fourth place in the league for total rebounds.
Junior guard
Callie Pohlman (Appleton, WI/Appleton North) and senior forward
Brianna Johnson (Lodi, WI/Beaver Dam) are also strong players for McKendree. Pohlman has tallied 51 rebounds, 68 assists, 30 steals, and 169 points on the season. Johnson has collected 110 rebounds, 28 assists, four blocks, 10 steals, and 144 points for the Bearcats.
McKendree will travel for one road game next Thursday, Feb. 20 at Lewis University in Romeoville, Ill., for its next contest. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
ABOUT UMSL:
Overall on the season, UMSL is 11-12 and 6-8 in GLVC competition after falling to Truman State 63-58 in its last contest. Two Tritons are averaging double-digit points; Laura Szorenyi with 12.6 and Alex LaPorta with 11.4. LaPorta and Kiara Stewart lead the team in rebounds, LaPorta with 203 and Stewart with 170 rebounds on the season.

Lidenwood is 13-7 overall on the season and 9-5 in GLVC play after defeating Quincy University 92-83 in its last conference contest. Five Lions are averaging double-digit points per game on the season. Kallie Bildner leads the way with 21.9 ppg, Devin Fuhring is next with 15.2, Lindsay Medlen follows with 11.8, Hennessey Handy is close behind with 11.2, and Julia Ruzevich rounds out the efforts with 10.5 points per game on average. Bildner and Kate Ruzevich lead the team in rebounds, Bildner with 209 and Ruzevich with 113 total rebounds.
