(LEBANON, Ill., Feb. 13) – The McKendree University women's hockey team is set to host Miami University (OH) this weekend for two games at the McKendree Metro Rec Plex. Friday's game is scheduled for 7:30pm and Saturday is slated for 2:30pm.
The Bearcats currently sit at 11-8-1 overall on the season.
Offensively, senior
Lara Wentz (Bismark, ND/) paces the attack with 10 goals, nine assists, and 19 points on the season. Senior
Alyssa Albee (Brookfield, WI/Brookfield Central) leads the team in assists with 10, posting 18 points on the season.
Camryn Scully (Prince George, BC, Canada/Prince George Secondary School) is having a nice freshman campaign with nine goals, seven assists, and 16 points.
In net, sophomore
Naomi Leasck (St. Louis, MO/Lindbergh High School) is the primary goalie with a 6-8 record, 2.43 goals against average, and .915 save percentage with three shutouts.
McKendree will look to avenge last season's defeats to the RedHawks, falling 5-2 and 2-1 on the road in Oxford, Ohio.
About Miami (OH)
The RedHawks enter the 11-9 overall on the season. Sara Gargasz leads the offense with 17 goals, six assists, and 23 points. Maizy Crandall guides the attack with 13 assists, with 19 points. Emily Sloan and Amanda Pugliese are tied with Crandall, also posting 19 points.
Ripley Crosley is the main goalie with an 8-9 record, 2.29 goals against average and .905 save percentage with three shutouts. Rachel Damrath has a 3-0 record, .57 goals against average and .917 save percentage, also totaling three shutouts.
