(O'FALLON, Ill., Feb. 14) – The McKendree University women's hockey team played visiting Miami University (OH) to a scoreless tie on Friday night at the McKendree Metro Rec Plex. The Bearcats will look to take the series tomorrow afternoon at 2:30pm.
 
The Bearcats move to 11-9-1-1 overall on the season.
 
McKendree fired 14 shots on net in the opening period but were unable to find the back of the net. Sophomore goalie Naomi Leasck (St. Louis, MO/Lindbergh High School) turned away all seven opposing shots from the visitor.
 
The Bearcat defense locked down the RedHawk offense, allowing no more than nine shots in a period, and zero in the overtime session.
 
On the night, Leasck held a shutout, stopping all 22 shots sent her way.
