(LEBANON, Ill., Feb. 19) – The McKendree University women's basketball team is set to face Lewis University in Romeoville, Ill., on Thursday, Feb. 20 at 5:30 p.m. The Bearcats will then return home for its final home contest of the season with a 1:00 p.m. game against Illinois Springfield.
The game on Saturday is both Alumni Day and Senior Day for McKendree. The six seniors for the Bearcats will be honored before the start of the game on Saturday. Alumni will then be recognized at halftime.
McKendree sits 11-13 overall on the season and 4-12 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC). In its last matchup, the Bearcats fell to Lindenwood University 90-85 at home.
Senior guard
Jordan Heberg (Romeoville, IL/Plainfield North) and sophomore guard
Jenna Krause (Seymour, WI/Seymour) are averaging double-digit points per game for the Bearcats. Heberg leads the team with 352 points in the season for a 14.7 ppg average. Krause is next for McKendree with 240 total points and a 10.0 ppg average. Senior guard
Madison Hart (Oak Creek, WI/Oak Creek) is also a strong offensive force for the Bearcats with 231 points and a 9.6 points per game average.
Defensively, Hart leads the team in rebounds with 229 total on the season. She is also a conference leader in rebounds sitting in fourth place in the league standings. Hart is also the team leader in steald for the Bearcats' defense with 38 on the season. Senior
Brianna Johnson (Lodi, WI/Beaver Dam) is also in the triple digits for rebounding on the season with 125 total.
McKendree will close out the 2019-20 regular season with a pair of road contests at the University of Indianapolis on Feb. 27 and at Bellarmine University on Fe. 29. The game in Indianapolis, Ind. is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. ET while the game in Louisville is set for 1:00 p.m. ET.

Lewis is 15-9 overall on the season and 12-4 in GLVC competition. In its last contest Lewis defeated Missouri S&T 71-63. Two Flyers are averaging double-digit points on the season, Rachel Hinders at 18.8 ppg and Kaitlyn Williams at 10.2 ppg. Lewis has four Flyers with thriple digit rebounds on the season, Hinders leading the way with 174, Morgan Glatczak is next with 116, Dajee Black is close behind with 114, and Katie Gardner rounds out the efforts with 107 rebounds.

Illinois Springfield is 9-15 overall on the season and 4-12 in the GLVC. In its last contest, the Prairie Stars beat Maryville University 85-80. Lauren Ladowski is the lone Prairie Star averaging double-digit points for Illinois Springfield with a 15.0 ppg average. Katelyn Rosner leads the team in rebounds with 148 on the season, Makenna Fee is next with 113, and Ladowski rounds out the efforts with 107 total rebounds on the season.
