Miranda Gajewski (Kronenwetter, WI/D.C. Everest) got a base hit up the middle to score
Whitney Boschert (Wentzville, MO/Francis Howell High School) to extend the lead to 9-1 in the fifth. Junior MaKenzie Carter pitched thru all five innings, giving up only one hit and striking out eight batters.
Softball will be back in action tomorrow to wrap up tournament play against the University of Findlay and Ashland at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. respectively.
