(Dahlonega, Ga., Feb. 7) – The McKendree University softball team will open their season this Saturday, February 8 and Sunday, February 9 at the 2020 University of North Georgia Tournament on the campus of the University of North Georgia.
 
McKendree will be squaring off against the Bears of Lenoir-Rhyne at 1 p.m. this Saturday, followed by Hillsdale College at 3 p.m. and will finish the weekend by taking on Hillsdale College once more at 9 a.m. on Sunday, and conclude competition against the University of North Georgia at 11 a.m.
 
The Bears of Lenoir-Rhyne are currently 4-0 overall on the year, after most recently defeating Erskine 1-0 on February 3.
 
The Chargers of Hillsdale College will be opening up their 2020 campaign this weekend as well.
 
The host North Georgia are currently 4-0 overall after recently topping Mississippi College 3-0 this past Sunday, February 2.
