(ADRIAN, Mich. – Mar. 7) – McKendree University No.1 women's wrestling competed in the inaugural Cliff Keen National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championship (NCWWC) Friday and Saturday afternoon at Adrian College. The Bearcats finished in first place with 191.0 team points and five individual champions.

This was the first national-level tournament and championship in the NCAA for affiliated women's wrestling programs. The Bearcats had five national champions including Pauline Granados (Rialto, CA/Wilmer Amino Carter High School), Alexia Ward (Portland, OR/Westview High School), Emma Bruntil (), Alexandria Glaude (West Sacramento, CA/Christian Brothers High School) and Sydnee Kimber (Sitka, AK/Mt Edgecombe High School). In addition, they had two second-place finishes, one fourth-place finish, one fifth-place finish, one sixth-place finish, two seventh-place finishes and one eighth-place finish.

101-lb:
No.2 Pauline Granados (Rialto, CA/Wilmer Amino Carter High School) took the first round by a technical fall victory at 3:18 (TF 12-2-) over Alice Todryk of UW-Stevens Point. Granados won by a 9-0 decision over Jennesis Martinez of Colorado Mesa University. In the first-place match, Granados won by a 5-1 decision over Iesha Washington of Emmanuel College. Granados finished first overall and went 3-0 on the tournament.

109-lb:
No.6 Carly Valleroy (St. Louis, MO/Mehlville High School) took the first round by pin at 0:49 (4-0) over Lakiesha Sullivan of East Stroudsburg University. Valleroy was defeated by technical fall at 2:30 (TF 10-0) to Emily Shilson of Augsburg University. Valleroy was defeated in a 15-6 decision to Allicia Mahoe of Schreiner University. Valleroy did not place in the tournament and went 1-2 on the tournament.

No.4 Natalie Reyna (Hesperia, CA/Whittier High School) took the first round by a technical fall victory at 4:23 (TF 10-0) over Clare Garcia of Emmanuel College. Reyna won by pin at 5:10 (12-4) over Angela LoRusso of Adrian College. Reyna was defeated by technical fall at 1:42 (TF 12-2) to Sugey Ceja of Tiffin University. Reyna won by an 8-0 decision over Cassy Lopez of Presbyterian College. Reyna was defeated in a 9-2 decision to Tatyanna Ortiz of East Stroudsburg University. In the seventh-place match, Reyna won by technical fall at 5:31 (10-0) over Allicia Mahoe of Schreiner University. Reyna finished seventh overall and went 4-2 on the tournament.

116-lb:
No.2 Felicity Taylor (Spillville, IA/South Winneshiek High School) took the first round by a technical fall victory at 2:39 (10-0) over Mikayla Vega of Gannon University. Taylor won by pin at 4:20 (4-2) over Jaslynn Gallegos of Presbyterian College. In the first-place match, Taylor was defeated by a 7-0 decision to Karla Godinez Gonzalez of Simon Fraser University. Taylor finished second overall and went 2-1 on the tournament.

123-lb:
No.7 Payton Stroud (South Prairie, WA/White River High School) took the first round by pin at 0:36 (4-0) over Allie Mahoe of Schreiner University. Stroud won by technical fall at 2:52 (TF 10-0) over Alexandra Herle of Emmanuel College. Stroud was defeated by a 9-1 decision to Cheyenne Sisenstein of King University. Stroud won by pin at 1:27 (8-0) over Trynadii Rocha of Emmanuel College. Stroud was defeated by a 7-7- decision to Vayle Baker of Augsburg University. In the seventh-place match, Stroud was defeated by injury fall to teammate Rankin. Stroud finished eighth overall and went 3-3 on the tournament.

No.6 Theresa Rankin (Grass Lake, MI/Grass Lake High School) took the first round by a 6-2 decision victory over Kassidy Block of Adrian College. Ranking was defeated by a 4-1 decision to Alexandra Hedricks of Simon Fraser University. Rankin won by technical fall at 1:37 (TF 10-0) over Stephanie Mondragon of Tiffin University. Rankin was defeated by a 7-2 decision to Asia Nguyen-Smith of North Central College. In the seventh-place match, Rankin won by injury fall over teammate Stroud. Rankin finished seventh overall and went 3-2 on the tournament.

130-lb:
No.3 Alexia Ward (Portland, OR/Westview High School) took the first round by a technical fall victory at 3:14 (TF 10-0) over Christina Bush of MacMurray College. Ward won by technical fall at 1:14 (TF 10-0) over Natalie Cregger of Lindenwood University. Ward won by a 6-1 decision over Alyssa Aceval of King University. Ward won by a 6-1 decision over Gabby Skidmor of Augsburg University. In the first-place match, Ward won by a 4-2 decision over Amanda Martinez of North Central College. Ward finished first overall and went 5-0 on the tournament.

Shaina Murray (Watchung, NJ/Wyoming Seminary Prep) was defeated in the first round by pin at 1:53 (7-2) to Sierra Brown Ton of Colorado Mesa University. Murray won by technical fall at 0:50 (TF 10-0) over Christianna Joy Bush of MacMurray College. Murray won by technical fall at 2:02 (TF 10-0) over Destiny Benjamin of Ferrum College. Murray was defeated by technical fall at 0:31 (TF 10-0) to Nicole Depa of Simon Fraser University. Murray did not place in the tournament and went 2-2 on the tournament.

136-lb:
No.1 Emma Bruntil () took the first round by a technical fall victory at 3:00 (TF 12-2) over Jolynn Harris of Colorado Mesa University. Bruntil won by technical fall at 0:47 (TF 10-0) over Stephanie Floor of Gannon University. Bruntil won by an 8-3 decision over Ana Luciano of King University. In the first-place match, Bruntil won by a technical fall at 3:32 (10-0) over Daila Garibay of Colorado mesa University. Bruntil finished first overall and went 4-0 on the tournament.

143-lb:
No.2 Alara Boyd (Muncie, IN/Yorktown High School) took the first round by pin at 0:35 (4-0) over Julianna Moreno of MacMurray College. Boyd won by technical fall at 4:03 (TF 10-0) over Alma Mendoza of Colorado Mesa University. Boyd won by a 7-1 decision over Ashlynn Ortega of King University. In the first-place match, Boyd was defeated by technical fall at 4:06 to Ana Godinez Gonzalez of Simon Fraser University. Boyd finished second overall and went 3-1 on the tournament.

155-lb:
No.2 Alexandria Glaude (West Sacramento, CA/Christian Brothers High School) took the first round by pin at 0:22 (4-0) over Kim Nunez of North central College. Glaude won by technical fall at 2:25 (TF 10-0) over Taylor Hites of Tiffin University. Glaude won by a 4-1 decision over teammate Levendusky. In the first-place match, Glaude won by a 3-1 decision over Jayden Laurent of Lakeland University. Glaude finished first overall and went 4-0 on the tournament.

No.3 Joye Levendusky (Avon, NY/Avon High School) took the first round by a technical fall victory at 0:52 (TF 10-0) over Kira Gilliland of Colorado Mesa University. Levendusky won by a 9-5 decision over Marlynne Deede of Augsburg University.  Levendusky was defeated in a 4-1 decision to teammate Glaude. Levendusky won by technical fall at 3:39 (11-0) over Annabelle Helm of Gannon University. In the third-place match, Levendusky was defeated in a 5-0 decision to Alyvia Fiske of Simon Fraser University. Levendusky finished fourth overall and went 3-2 on the tournament.

170-lb:
No.1 Kori Bullock (Cahokia, IL/Cahokia High School) took the first round by a technical fall victory at 1:16 (TF 10-0) over Talum Smith of Ferrum College. Bullock won by pin at 1:31 (10-0) over Mikayla Mata of Schreiner University. Bullock was defeated by pin at 5:25 to Jessika Rottier of UW-Stevens Point. Bullock was defeated by an 8-2 decision to Nia Crosdale of King University. In the fifth-place match, Bullock won by injury fall over teammate Sennett. Bullock finished fifth overall and went 3-2 on the tournament.

No.3 Andrea Sennett (Wheeling, IL/Wheeling High Shcool) took the first round by pin at 0:17 (4-0) over Maya Shimizu of Lindenwood University. Sennett won by technical fall at 2:29 (10-0) over Nia Crosdale of King University. Sennett was defeated by a 10-8 decision to Yelena Makoyed of North Central College. Sennett was defeated by technical fall at 0:45 (10-0) to Emily Cue of Simon Fraser University. In the fifth-place match Sennett was defeated by injury fall to teammate Bullock. Sennett finished sixth overall and went 2-3 on the tournament.

191-lb:
No.1 Sydnee Kimber (Sitka, AK/Mt Edgecombe High School) took the first round by pin at 0:36 (8-0) over Angelina Kirkpatrick of North Central College. Kimber won by pin at 0:44 (6-0) over Cristina Santoyo of Emmanuel College. In the first-place match, Kimber won by technical fall at 2:23 (10-0) over Tavi Heidelberg of King University. Kimber finished first overall and went 3-0 on the tournament.

This tournament concluded the 2019-20 season for the Bearcats. They finished 4-0 in the regular season and first-ever NCWWC champions in the postseason. Up next on the schedule for the qualifying Bearcats, the 2020 Olympic Team Trials that will be held April 4-5, in University Park, Penn.
