(ST. LOUIS, Mo., March 7) – The McKendree University women's hockey team played in the second round of the Women's Midwest College Hockey (WMCH) Championship tournament against Liberty University on Saturday night. The Bearcats fell to Liberty by the score of 3-0 and will play Lindenwood Belleville on Sunday at 9:45am in the third place game.
McKendree sits at 15-11-1-1 overall on the season after Saturday.
The Flames scored in each period, to win 3-0. The Bearcat defense was spectacular in allowing only three goals despite 40 shots from Liberty.
