LEBANON, Ill. - McKendree University women's hockey hosts Aquinas College for a Friday evening matchup at the McKendree Metro Rec Plex at 4:30 P.M.

The Bearcats return home after a fourth matchup against local rival Maryville, a 1-2 loss to the Saints and their first dropped match of the fall. Prior to their first loss, the Bearcats beat the Saint in three-consecutive matches with two victories coming at the McKendree Metro Rec Plex and the other at Maryville Ice Hockey Center. 

McKendree's offense has been spread out throughout the team, with four players owning four points, two earning three, and three having two. Overall, 16 players own at least one point with freshman defender Cassidy Dion, freshman forward Larisa Gorgevska-Sharpe, and freshman defender Aria Groot each having four points in four games. Dion leads the team with two goals while adding two assists. Gorgevska-Sharpe and Groot both own one goal and three assists. Junior center Camryn Scully and junior forward Juliana Davis each have three points with Scully collecting two goals and one assist while Davis has three dish-outs. 

The back line and net have been under the direction of two Bearcats with senior goaltender Naomi Leasck playing three of four matches with six goals allowed and a 2.00 goals allowed average. Over Leasck's 180 minutes, the senior owns a 0.925 save percentage and a 3-0 record. Sophomore goaltender Brianna Burke has played one match on the season, allowing two goals but owns a 0.920 save percentage in the outing.

Aquinas enters the contest with a 2-0 record, beating the Concordia Cardinals in back-to-back matches.Alyssa Exline and Natalie Vaitas lead the team on offense each with three points in the two games while six other players have two points on the year. Exline has one goal on two assists while Vaitas owns three assists. Anna Castle owns the lead in goals with two.
