LEBANON, Ill. - McKendree University women's volleyball won a second-straight Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) match on Saturday afternoon, beating William Jewell in five sets. The win marked back-to-back five-set victories for the Bearcats while two Bearcats earned career-milestones with their performances.
McKendree opened the match with wins in the first two sets behind nine kills from both sophomore outside hitter
Brianna Binder and junior outside hitter
Maddie Misner. The Bearcats collected attacking percentages of .205 and .350 over the first two sets.
Sets three and four belonged to the Cardinals who improved attacking percentages over the sets to even the match at two sets a piece. William Jewell was looking to snap a three-game skid in the contest with the Bearcats.
The fifth and deciding set went to extra points and the Bearcats took the deciding point to win the contest. Senior outside hitter
McKenna Ross led the offense in the final set with three kills on nine attack attempts while sophomore outside hitter
Colleen Preusser and junior middle blocker
Sarah Porter each recorded two in the final set of the afternoon match.
Four Bearcats collected double-doubles in the outing: Binder with 16 kills and 25 digs (16.0 points total), Misner with 13 kills and 17 digs (14.0 points), Preusser with 11 kills and 14 digs (12 points), and junior setter
Macy Tongate with 50 assists and 14 digs.

Junior setter
Macy Tongate dished-out her 1,000th career assist in the match with her 50-assist performance.
Senior libero
Skyler Sieber, who started the match prior to exiting with injury, collected her 1,000th dig with her 17-dig total.
