(Indianapolis, Ind. Feb 23.)- The McKendree University men's basketball team falls to the University of Indianapolis 69-68 on Tuesday. Its record drops to 9-8.
How it Happened:
McKendree had a strong first half on the offensive end, ending the half with a seven-point advantage. They shot 50 percent from the field and 50 percent from 3-point range. As a team, the Bearcats dished out 11 assists and dropped 22 points on fast break.
In the second half of play, the Greyhounds cut the lead down to one point at multiple times in the ten minutes of the half but were never able to take the lead. From 10:25 to 9:07, McKendree opened an eight-point lead after an 8-2 run. Senior
Jacob Donaldson (Effingham, IL/Effingham) hit back to back three's during the run. In the final two minutes of competition, the Greyhounds would go an 8-0 run that was capped off by a game winning jumper from Indianapolis's Cory Miller Jr.

-McKendree's bench outscored the Indianapolis bench 20-2 on the evening.
