The McKendree University men's soccer team dropped its Great Lakes Valley Conference season opener to the University of Indianapolis 1-0 on Friday night in Indianapolis, Ind. 
 
How It Happened
-  UIndy's Jack Berger would score the game's only goal in the 14^th minute of the first half after am assist from Jakub Olczyk.
 
-  The Bearcats would make a push in the second half compiling four shots but were unable to find the back of the net. 
 
Behind The Boxscore 
-  The Greyhounds outshot the Bearcats 13-5 on the day. Two of McKendree's five shots were on goal.

-  Bearcat starting goaltender, Alvaro Cortazar (), would save four shots and allowed one goal.

The Bearcats will return to action on Sunday, Feb. 28 for their home opener against Lewis University at 2:30 p.m.
